Looking back: BCSEMI NL IC Design Event, March 28
There was Moore! On Thursday, March 28 in Eindhoven, over 80 professionals from the IC Design Community found their way to the High Tech Campus for the IC Design Event, to talk, discuss and learn about the developments and future of the Design Industry.
In the Strip conference center the event started with an exhibition and a network lunch. Various companies presented themselves while enjoying a snack and a drink. It was a valuable afternoon said Eric van Heukelom, quality manager at EquipIC Supply Chain, participant and one of the exhibitors: “The IC Design Event 2019 in Eindhoven, was perfectly organized by BCSEMI NL, with good keynote speakers, helpful information and very useful network interaction”.
Program
After a welcome from BCSEMI NL chairman of the board Charles Smit, and an introduction by Barry Peet, the participants were briefed by three keynote speakers about the trends, recent research results & investments in IC Design. The presentations were interspersed with eight workshops where the participants, after a short introduction by an expert, exchanged experiences, formulated challenges and discussed topics such as Internationalization, shared EDA, investments and prototyping.
The afternoon ended with networking drinks. A number of reactions from the participants afterwards: “I now have an up-to-date and more complete picture of what happens in and around the IC Design Sector”. “Nice to see that there is such a variety of subjects around IC Design and that many of them have been discussed here”
