Economic Mission for Semiconductor and Photonics to US and Canada
Are you internationally active in the semiconductor industry or in photonics? And are you curious about your business opportunities in the United States and/or Canada? Or do you want to explore the innovation ecosystem there? Then sign up for this economic mission to Connecticut, New York State, and Ontario.
This mission takes place from June 9 to 14, 2024, and includes the presence of one or more government ministers for part of the mission. There is also a short meeting planned for a number of companies with His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Maxima, who will be visiting New York State during the same period. Ingrid Thijssen, President of VNO-NCW, will join a few parts of the mission program. Marc Hendrikse, figurehead of the Top Sector High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM), is the business mission leader.
Registration is open until April 21, 2024. There is a limited number of places (25 to 30) available for this mission. If there are too many applications, a selection will be made. Read more about the registration.
For whom?
Participation is exclusively open to start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, multinationals, and knowledge institutions based in the Netherlands that are active in:
- Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Integrated photonics
- Chip design (with special attention to artificial intelligence applications)
- Advanced packaging
Diversity
Diversity within a mission delegation is important to achieve results in the United States and Canada. We therefore aim to put together a delegation with participants who differ in gender, origin, and age. And who work for different types of companies and knowledge institutions. All this can be taken into account in the selection of participants.
Are you an entrepreneurial woman with international ambitions? The government is committed to increasing diversity and therefore specifically encourages female entrepreneurs to take the international step through the Growth Across Borders campaign. Companies that do business internationally are more productive, innovative, and successful. By joining this mission, you expand your network and increase your international opportunities.
Costs
Participation costs € 950 per organization (maximum 1 person). Travel and accommodation costs, visa fees, and additional costs such as any personal transfers are at your own expense and risk.
