Young Professionals visit Averna, CrossKnowledge and Verhaert in Flanders
Every year, High Tech NL organizes an international study tour to discover high-tech industry with our neighbours. This year was the fifth edition. After discovering the Ruhr area (2012), the north of France (2013), metropolitan Hamburg (2014) and the Liège area (2015), we decided this year to visit our direct neighbours, the Flemish.
A group of 14 Young Professionals, experts and some High Tech NL staff took part in the tour to Flanders. Their first visit was to Averna, a company located in Hasselt in the province of Limburg. Averna specializes in the development and production of high-precision test and measurement systems.
After that the group headed for Belgium’s capital, Brussels, where CrossKnowledge is situated. CrossKnowledge specializes in designing distance learning solutions for professional markets.
The last stop was Kruibeke Business Park, near Antwerp, where a well-known company is located, namely Verhaert. Verhaert guides its customers through the process from research to market introduction of a new concept. The mission of this company is to accelerate and master innovation and contribute to welfare and wellbeing.
A debriefing of the day during the usual traffic jam on the Antwerp ring proved that this was a day well spent.
