Take on the challenge in agriculture and food processing!

The entire food system needs to be better balanced with nature, environment and health. Robotics can be (part of) the solution here. Challenges include:

• Transition crop protection
• Transition differently planting and growing
• Soil conditions and biodiversity
• Labor shortage

New technologies such as robots, drones, sensors, AI and big data are necessary to make the transition to a balanced agriculture and food processing industry

What are we looking for?
We are looking for issues/challenges where Robotics and other Industry 4.0 technology can provide a solution. The themes the issues/challenges focus on are:

1. Issues from plantbased farms focused on:
   - Deployment of autonomous robots for weed control, pruning, harvesting, precision fertilization, recognition and control of crop diseases and pests
   - Automation of small crops both on land and in greenhouses/greenhouses e.g. cabbage crops, chicory, strawberries
2. Issues from the food process industry focused on:
   - Smart automation of food handling processes, including flexible and robust production systems including for small batch sizes
